Shafie to back Budget ‘if it is appropriate’

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah wants the bulk of the national budget to not merely go towards funding development projects but also to revitalising the economy and ensuring the people’s health and safety under a special allocation.

Its president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal (pic), however, remains non-committal in supporting Budget 2021 until the details are known. The former chief minister also said there was no reason for Warisan MPs not to support it if it is appropriate and in line with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s decree that any measures should be based on the people’s welfare and the nation’s interests.
