Covid-19: Disinfection works carried out at Sabah commercial area after new cluster identified

KOTA KINABALU: Disinfection works is being conducted at the Lintas commercial area near here, following a new Covid-19 cluster - Cluster Lintas - as announced by the Health Ministry on Tuesday (Oct 28).

The initiative is done by volunteers with the help of DAP leaders from Luyang and Kota Kinabalu.

Luyang assemblyman Phoong Jin Zhe said this effort is to let people have peace of mind, although the cluster does not in any way involve commercial areas.

He said the Lintas cluster was detected from six labourers at the flyover construction site nearby.

“But to make it safer for everyone, and to calm our concerns, we decided to do a disinfection on all the shoplots in the Lintas commercial area, ” he told The Star.

Besides Lintas, they also carried out disinfection on the shoplots and business premises at the Api-Api centre in the city.
