Najib: Keep the people's welfare in mind when making decisions

KUALA LUMPUR: The government should keep the interests of the people in mind when making decisions, says Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

In a post on his official Facebook page, the former prime minister said the rakyat were trapped, traders were in a bind and that life was hard for many.

"The situation is uncertain. Unstable. Not on the right track. Every move made must take the interests of the rakyat into consideration," he said on Friday (Oct 23).

He added that every decision must have aspects of public welfare as well.

"Prioritise welfare and give assurances that they can continue to live. Security and health are important but do not neglect the needs of the rakyat," he said.
