A MAN and a woman with the exact same name got hitched in China recently, Sin Chew Daily reported.
Both the bride and groom’s names were Li Qiuyi, spelled using the same Han characters which meant “autumn happiness”.
The two met on social media in April 2019 and finally tied the knot on Oct 10.
“When I first met him, he said he was called Li Qiuyi. I thought he was playing a prank on me and asked how he found out my name, ” the bride said.
They found out that they had a lot in common apart from their names and started a relationship a week into meeting each other.
The couple shared their marriage registration on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, and received more than two million likes.A picture of their marriage certificate showed that they shared the same name.

The 49-year-old Queen of Cantopop would not take any risk as her parents were old.
“With the number of infections creeping up steadily, when I was visiting my mother, I wore a mask the entire time and washed my hands often.
“The next time, it’s best to also have a change of clothes.
“If our parents are old, we should be more careful, ” she wrote on Instagram.
