In a statement on Sunday, Pengurusan Air Selangor (Air Selangor) said 17 affected areas in Hulu Selangor would get their water supply by Monday (Oct 19) noon.

Water to 241 areas from group one is expected to resume by Monday noon followed by 445 areas from group two.

Group one consists of 13 areas in Petaling, five areas in Klang/Shah Alam, 147 in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur (59) and Hulu Selangor (17).

Group two consists of 97 areas in Petaling, 58 areas in Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak (121) and Kuala Lumpur (169).

Air Selangor said it has moved 88 water tanks to critical affected areas such as hospitals and dialysis centres.

The public can also source for water at public taps, the list of which can be found at www.airselangor.com.

Some 686 areas were affected by the unscheduled water cut at Petaling, Gombak, Klang/Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur and Hulu Selangor districts on Saturday (Oct 17).

Air Selangor said the water treatment plant had to be partially stopped to carry out repair works as a pipe channelling treated water was leaking.
