Covid-19: 79 cops, plus 34 family members, civilian personnel test positive

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 113 police officers and personnel, along with their family members and civilian personnel, have been diagnosed as Covid-19 positive.

Bukit Aman Management department director Comm Datuk Ramli Din said all those involved were currently receiving treatment at hospitals nationwide.

"Those who are confirmed to be Covid-19 positive are seven senior officers, 72 personnel, three civilian personnel and 31 family members," he said when contacted on Friday (Oct 16).

Besides the positive cases, 2,058 personnel are currently undergoing quarantine, he added.

"They are 354 senior officers, 1,296 personnel, 73 civilian personnel and 335 family members," he said.

Comm Ramli said he had also started undergoing quarantine at home beginning Thursday.
