KLANG: Fifteen areas in Klang and Shah Alam will be hit by an unscheduled water disruption on Wednesday night (Oct 14) following a burst pipe in Klang.
According to a statement issued by Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) on Wednesday, water supply to the affected areas will be shut off from 10.30pm for repair works to be carried out.
The incident happened near the Jalan Bukit Raja TNB power station in Klang.
The repair works are expected to be completed by 9.30am on Oct 15.
The affected areas are: 1. Batu Belah, Sg Putus and Teluk Kapas, 2) Sementa, 3) Perepat, 4) 1-8 milestones of Jalan Kapar and Klang Utama, 5) Klang town (1-3 milestones Jln Meru), 6) Bandar Baru Klang, 7) Taman Berkley/Eng Ann, 8) Jalan Goh Hock Huat, 9) Bandar Sultan Sulaiman, 10) Jalan Pelabuhan Utara, 11) Northport, 12) Sg Sireh and Seri Perantau, 13) Kampung Keretapi, 14) Jalan Limbungan, 15) Jalan Shahbandar.
The Air Selangor statement said water supply to the affected areas should be fully restored by 5.30pm on Oct 15.
"Consumers will recive water supply in stages based on the distance and water pressure once the supply resumes after repair works have been completed," said the statement.
It added that Air Selangor would be giving updates on the repair works from time to time through all its official communication conduits on Facebook, Twitter dan Instagram, as well as its smartphone application and the Air Selangor website www.airselangor.com.
