PUTRAJAYA: Campaign activities for the Batu Sapi by-election, which will cost one-fold more than previous by-elections at RM6mil, will be restricted to candidates canvassing for votes via social media platforms.
The Election Commission (EC) has prohibited prospective candidates from carrying out direct campaigning, door-to-door canvassing, walkabouts, group campaign activities and ceramah in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic which has turned a large part of Sabah into red zones.
