70 Malaysian artistes show their talent in Hollywood

SOME 70 Malaysian artists showcased their talent creating high quality visual effects for a Hollywood films, reported Berita Harian.

They had created about 90 visual effects for a high-budget film 6 Underground starring Ryan Reynolds.

Base Digital Production general manager Sailash Kumar said the company had recruited more local talents, from 25% before to 80% currently.

“We took the time to train local artists to create high quality visual effects that meet Hollywood standards,” he was quoted as saying.

With the support of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) and the collaboration with higher learning institutes including arts and media colleges, Base Digital Production helped to create more job opportunities for local talents in the creative sector.
