PETALING JAYA: The police will be closing three roads in Kota Damansara from Wednesday (Oct 14) in line with the implementation of the conditional movement control order (MCO).
Petaling Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said the roads involved are Jalan Persiaran Mahogani (Seksyen 9), Jalan Persiaran Jati (Seksyen 8) and Jalan Persiaran Sungai Buloh (TSB).
Supt Ku Mashariman added that these roads can still be used by ambulances, Fire and Rescue Department, the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) and the police
"We advise road users to use alternate routes. The routes are Jalan Persiaran Kenanga-Kota Damansara toll plaza, Jalan Persiaran Surian-Palm Spring Kota Damansara and Jalan Persiaran Tropicana-Casa Tropicana," he said in a statement Tuesday (Oct 13).
He added that the road closure is in line with the conditional MCO and is aimed at limiting traffic and movement of people.
"Kota Damansara has recorded the highest number of Covid-19 cases in areas under the jurisdiction of the Petaling Jaya police," he said.
Supt Ku Mashariman said police personnel will be placed at the locations mentioned.
"We hope the public will abide by the conditional MCO and be patient in facing difficulties during this period.
"Our ultimate aim is to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and we are prioritising the safety of the people," he added.
