IPOH: It is estimated that about one million mobile phones are discarded annually in Perak, and the state Department of Environment (DOE) wants to pay you to discard phones and other e-waste properly.
Perak DOE director Rosli Zul said the trend of changing mobile phones regularly had led to a bulk of the old phones being disposed of, with some ending up at landfills.
