PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has congratulated the staff and management of KL International Airport (KLIA) for its making it into the list of the Top 10 airports in the world.
Dr Wee also congratulated the staff and management of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) for the achievement in the latest global airport survey by Airport Service Quality (ASQ).
"I believe this success will continue in the future with the seriousness and roles played by all parties.
"It is not just about providing the best services to domestic and international consumers, it also benefits the country overall.
"Keep it up!" Dr Wee said in a Facebook post Saturday (Oct 10).
KLIA was placed at number 17 last year but this year, it moved up to number nine despite the global pandemic which is restricting international travel.
KLIA achieved an improved overall score of 4.94 out of 5.00, up from 4.69 in 2019, and the success included scoring a perfect 5.00 in overall satisfaction by both business and leisure passengers.
It also scored 4.99 for cleanliness of airport terminal and 4.97 for availability of washrooms.
