PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysia Budget Hotel Association (MyBHA) has launched its “Jom Nginap” campaign to boost room bookings through digitisation among its members in the country.
The campaign is a collaboration with e-wallet providers Touch N Go eWallet (TnG) and Gkash, and will be from Nov 15 to Dec 31.
MyBHA national secretary-general Denis Ong said as part of the campaign, TnG would be promoting all participating hotels in their TnG eWallet App.
Meanwhile, Gkash will be providing e-wallet digital payment solutions through its app to support the campaign at zero-entry costs.
“In view of the new (Covid-19) normal, MyBHA has begun the journey of sustainable tourism initiatives through the usage of technology and contactless e-payment methods, ” said Ong in a media statement on Wednesday (Oct 7).
He said the campaign was in line with Tourism Malaysia’s efforts to promote domestic tourism.
MyBHA national president Emmy Suraya Hussein said the association would initially engage with 200 hotels nationwide to participate in the campaign.
“The association will encourage more hotels to participate in similar e-wallet cashback campaigns periodically in the future.
“We will be the first hotel association to initiate and engage with 14 million TnG eWallet users in the country”, said Emmy Suraya.
