GOMBAK: A 52-year-old man was detained for breaking his home quarantine order at Bandar Tasik Puteri in Rawang.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said the man was wearing a pink bracelet and was detained at about 7.30pm on Saturday in front of a restaurant at Bandar Tasik Puteri.
"The bracelet clearly showed his MyKad number and the date of Oct 3. He was required to be quarantined at home from Oct 3 until Oct 16," he said when contacted on Sunday (Oct 4).
ACP Arifai said the man was tested for Covid-19 at KLIA2 and is still awaiting his results.
"He will be remanded to facilitate investigations into his quarantine breach," he said.
ACP Arifai urged the public to comply with quarantine orders issued by the Health Ministry.
"Adhering to such orders is vital towards ensuring their safety and others. Irresponsible acts such as breaking quarantine orders will only lead to problems and cause worry for others," he added.
