Fuel prices Oct 3-9: RON97, RON95 up three sen, diesel down one sen

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices for RON97 and RON95 will increase from Oct 3 to Oct 9, says the Finance Ministry.

The prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol will be up three sen to RM2.01 and RM1.71 per litre respectively, while the price of diesel will reduce by one sen to RM1.70 per litre.

“The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people, ” said the ministry in a statement on Friday (Oct 2).

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5,2019, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).

Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
