PUTRAJAYA: Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin (pic) is undergoing home quarantine after coming into contact with an individual who tested positive for Covid-19.

Her political secretary Nor Hizwan Ahmad said the minister had gone to Langkawi on Sept 27 to attend a programme and returned to Kuala Lumpur evening the same day.

The next day (Sept 28), Zuraida attended the Malaysia Urban Forum and was only informed of the Langkawi case.

"She did a swab test and the test came back negative," said Nor Hizwan on Thursday (Oct 1).

He said that Zuraida had earlier done a swab test at KLIA2 on Sept 26 upon her return from Sabah.

The test result was negative.

"Zuraida is now undergoing self-quarantine at home for 14 days as per Health Ministry's suggestion," he said.

Copies of her swab test results were also forwarded to the media along with Nor Hizwan’s statement.
