Scheduled water disruption in Penang’s Paya Terubong and Relau on Sept 24

GEORGE TOWN (Bernama): About 10,000 water subscribers in Penang will be experiencing a scheduled water supply disruption from 9am to 9pm on Sept 24 due to pipe works at Jalan Paya Terubong and Relau, near here.

Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) chief executive officer Datuk Jaseni Maidinsa said the work would involve shifting pipes to ensure development activities at Lot 1087, Jalan Kampung Batak, Sungai Ara, will not cause damage to the pipes.

"To facilitate the work, PBAPP will have to separate and stop the operation of the existing water pipes from Jalan Dato’ Ismail Hashim intersection to Pusat Petani Relau, Jalan Paya Terubong, ” he said in a statement here Friday (Sept 18).

The areas that will be affected include Kampung Relau, Taman Sri Sari, Taman Sri Sari, Persiaran Paya Terubong (1,2, 3,4 and 5), Persiaran Paya Terubong (1,2, 3,4 and 5), Taman Bendera, Solok Relau (1,2 and 3), Lebuh Relau (1,2, 3,4, 5,6, 7,8, 9 and 10), Tingkat Relau (2,4, 6,8 and 10), Taman Alor Vista and Taman Desa Relau.

PBAPP also advised the people in these areas to keep adequate water supply to face the disruption. – Bernama
