Restaurant boss held for having exotic meat


Illegal meats: Officers from Perhilitan and the police looking at the packs of meat found inside a freezer of a restaurant in Seri Alam, Johor Baru.

JOHOR BARU: A 57-year-old restaurant owner and an assistant have been arrested for keeping monitor lizard and wild boar meat at his outlet in Seri Alam here.

The illegal possession was discovered in a joint raid by the police and state Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) on Tuesday, said Seri Alam OCPD Supt Ismail Dollah, who led the operation.
