Elly Mazlien doesn’t want to jinx her pregnancy

ARTISTE Elly Mazlien is trying to keep herself stress-free to increase the chances of getting pregnant, reported Berita Harian.

But even if the 39-year-old does become pregnant, she would not announce it during the first trimester.

“I like to follow my elders’ advice not to share news of pregnancy at the early stage for fear that the excitement could yield an undesired outcome.

“I wish to keep it a secret from friends in the media and fans, ” she said, adding that she would share the happy news at the right time.

Elly, whose real name is Sharifah Aida Mazlina Syed Hanafi, married Mohamad Azlan Che Nuh in January. Azlan, a teacher, is in his late 20s.

Elly, who turns 40 in December, has a two-year-old daughter, Putri Sara Sefhia, from a previous marriage.

> A commissioner for oaths has lodged a police report against a social media influencer for allegedly body shaming her, reported Harian Metro.

Suharnizan Md Sidek, 37, claimed that the social media personality had posted photographs of her and her child on Facebook Live on Aug 18 without her consent.

Suharnizan took offence to comments by the influencer such as: “live cooking, live makan-makan (eating), put slimming products, can become slim?”

Suharnizan did not take action then as she had hoped that the matter would die off by itself.

But she decided to lodge a report at the Johor Baru Selatan district police station after the eight-minute videoclip ridiculing her physical appearance went viral recently.

Her photograph was also used by unknown persons to create fake Facebook accounts using her name.

She also became emotionally distressed as she was bombarded with messages.

Her lawyer Mohd Rasheed Hassan said they had filed a civil notice against the social media personality.
