KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Water supply to 948 locations, or 73.37%, of the 1,292 areas hit by the unscheduled water disruption in seven regions in the Klang Valley has been fully restored as at 6.30 am Monday (Sept 7).
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd corporate communications chief Elina Baseri said, in a statement Monday, that the remaining 344 areas were still in the process of being restored.
Hulu Selangor became the first area to record 100% water supply resumption, followed by Kuala Selangor (99.25%); Petaling (91.78%); Gombak (72.99%); Kuala Langat (50%); Kuala Lumpur (47.37%) and Klang/Shah Alam (38.42%).
Elina said consumers who have received their water supply are advised to use it prudently to facilitate the process of restoring the supply to other areas.
Efforts are being intensified to stabilise the water supply distribution system to enable supply to be restored to areas that are still affected, she added.
