The Finance Ministry said that RON97 petrol would be priced at RM2.01 per litre, down one sen from RM2.02 per litre previously.
The price of RON95 petrol will also decrease by one sen from RM1.72 per litre to RM1.71 per litre.
The price of diesel will remain at RM1.78 per litre.
"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people," the ministry said in a statement on Friday (Sept 4).
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5,2019, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).
Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
