Musa’s judicial review appeal to be heard on Sept 7

PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal has fixed Sept 7 to hear an appeal in a judicial review filed by former Sabah chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman and 32 others against a Kota Kinabalu High Court ruling over the dissolution of the state legislative assembly, just five days before the nomination day for the state election.

A three-man panel led by Justice Yaacob Md Sam fixed the date here yesterday after being informed by Musa’s counsel Tengku Fuad Tengku Ahmad that the Sabah Attorney General’s Chambers (SAGC) and the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) only received a notice of motion for a stay of the Kota Kinabalu High Court decision last Friday.

The court also fixed the same day to hear their applications for a stay in the High Court’s decision in reaffirming Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin’s decision to dissolve the Sabah assembly.
