GEORGE TOWN: The water level in the Teluk Bahang reservoir has dropped to such an extent that the old road linking Teluk Bahang and Balik Pulau has reappeared, after being submerged for over 20 years.
About 200m of the tarred road built during the colonial days can be seen from afar as the water level dropped to an effective capacity of 17.3%, the lowest in the man-made reservoir’s history.
