Tawar and Sala clusters see rise in cases


YAN, 19 Ogos -- Ketua Penguatkuasa Majlis Daerah Yan (MDY), Mokhtar Bahari (kiri) memasang tali rentang di laluan masuk Taman Rekreasi Titi Hayun sebagai langkah pencegahan penularan wabak COVID-19 membabitkan Kluster Sala di daerah ini hari ini. Selain itu, MDY turut menutup kawasan peranginan Seri Perigi, Batu Hampar, Kaki Gunung Jerai dan Pantai Murni. Orang ramai yang didapati ingkar boleh diambil tindakan mengikut Akta Pencegahan dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit 1988 dan Akta Polis 1967. Arahan ini tertakluk kepada Prosedur Operasi Standard (SOP) dalam tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP) setelah wujud kluster baharu dikenali, Kluster Sala di Daerah Yan melibatkan seorang lelaki yang dikesan positif pada 13 Ogos lalu. Ahad lepas, kerajaan negeri mengambil beberapa inisiatif segera bagi mengekang penularan COVID-19 di negeri ini antaranya menutup semua taman awam dan menghadkan operasi premis perniagaan di kawasan yang merekodkan kes positif wabak itu. Setakat ini, kawasan yang berisiko ialah Kluster Sala di daerah ini, Kluster Tawar (Baling), Kluster Muda ( Kuala Muda) dan Kluster Sivagangga di Kubang Pasu. --fotoBERNAMA (2020) HAK CIPTA TERPELIHARA

PUTRAJAYA: The Tawar and Sala Covid-19 clusters continue to see an increase in the number of cases for the northern states, with more than half of the 16 new cases attributed to them.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 11 of the new cases were linked to the two clusters, with eight of these related to the Tawar cluster.
