TNB offers deal to help lighten up Merdeka Day festivities

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) is offering a special incentive to urge commercial customers to light up their areas with decorative lighting in conjunction with the 63rd National Day.

The incentive, which started in 2000, is offered to commercial customers under the B, C1 and C2 tariffs that have been in operations for at least one year (before Aug 1,2019).

“They will enjoy the incentive for a period of two months, from August to September 2020.

“But it will only be reflected in the October 2020 bill for those eligible.

“Buildings included under the incentive are skyscrapers, office buildings, commercial complexes, shopping complexes, hotels and gas stations, ” TNB said in a statement.

The incentive rate is at 20.8 sen/kWh (tariff rate for neon and floodlight) for any increase in electricity usage exceeding the average usage recorded for three months from May, June and July 2020.

Eligible customers can apply via a Kedai Tenaga or myTNB portal (www.mytnb.com.my).

Closing date for application is Sept 15,2020. For inquiries, contact TNB CareLine at 1-300-88-5454 or email to tnbcareline@tnb.com.my. — Bernama
