Airport expansion will be done based on needs, says Wee


THE Perikatan Nasional government will prioritise expansion of airports based on needs, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).

The Transport Minister said any proposed development of airports, including the expansion of the Penang International Airport, would only be considered after the National Airport Strategic Plan (NASP) was finalised by the government.He said the NASP, which will cover the development of all airports, including short take-off and landing airports, was expected to be completed in 2023, in line with the National Transport Policy.
