Man, 54, feared drowned after wallet, motorcycle found on Penang Bridge

GEORGE TOWN: A 54-year-old man is feared to have drowned, after his wallet and motorcycle were found on the Penang Bridge.

In a statement by the Penang Fire and Rescue Department, it said the firemen received an alert at 1.05pm on Tuesday (Aug 18).

“When the firemen arrived at the scene, they were told by the public that a man had jumped off the bridge.

“We found a wallet and a motorcycle believed to belong to the 54-year-old man.

"The firemen are currently carrying out search and rescue efforts with the 'surface searching' approach at the area where the man is believed to have fallen from, ” the statement read.
