High Court fixes Sept 28 for decision to strike out Najib's lawsuit against AmBank

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court was told that former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak knew about the “manipulation” of his bank accounts back in 2016 but waited until his trial in 2019 to act against the bank and his former bank relationship manager.

Lawyer Datuk Dr Gurdial Singh Nijar, who is representing Joanna Yu, rebutted Najib’s contention that the lawsuit against his client and her former employer had nothing to do with the recently concluded SRC International Sdn Bhd trial where Najib had been convicted of seven charges relating to the misappropriation of RM42mil from the company’s funds.
