TANJUNG MALIM: The Slim by-election will see a three-cornered fight between Barisan Nasional and two Independent candidates.
Barisan’s acting Tanjung Malim Umno division chief Mohd Zaidi Aziz, 44, will be taking on lawyer Amir Khusyairi Mohamad Tanusi, 38, who represents the supporters of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Independent candidate Dr S. Santharasekaran, 45.
Amir Khusyairi stands as an Independent candidate, as Dr Mahathir’s new party, Parti Pejuang Tanahair, is yet to be registered.
