MELAKA: An officer in charge of a police station (OC) and two of his subordinates have been detained for allegedly soliciting bribes over fines relating to the movement control order (MCO).
A spokesperson from the Melaka Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said the 57-year-old OC, who holds the rank of sub-inspector, was believed to have solicited RM6,000 from violators of the current recovery MCO implemented to contain the spread of Covid-19.
