Man rescued after getting stuck inside well

A MAN who weighed 125kg fell into a well in China’s Henan province, leading to a rescue effort by a team of firefighters and other villagers.

According to Sin Chew Daily, the 28-year-old farmer slipped when he was working on the well.

As he was shirtless, he was firmly stuck inside without any piece of clothing that could be used as friction to aid his rescue.

Hence, it took the firefighters some time to pull him out.

The man was reportedly calm as he waited to be rescued.

China Press reported that the woman identified only as Lee from Raub, Pahang, had been feverish for a week.

She was the only child in the family.

Her mother said Lee was feeling unwell and went to the clinic the next day where she was diagnosed as having a common case of fever.

Lee’s situation did not improve and she went to the doctors again.

Subsequently, she felt better but two days later, she fell sick again.

According to the doctor, Lee might have died of sepsis and bacterial infection. The family is still waiting for a report from the hospital.
