KOTA KINABALU: Plantation smallholders and local communities in Sabah's east coast are urged to form crop protection teams where human-elephant conflict is unavoidable.
WWF Malaysia quoted Sabah Wildlife Department’s (SWD) director Augustine Tuuga (pic) in an article released on Tuesday (Aug 11) saying this since the task of protecting elephants cannot be upon the government’s shoulders alone.
