PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has announced plans to expand the Electric Train Services (ETS) to the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
The Ayer Hitam MP, who shared a brief notice of the extension plan with KTMB, was travelling to From Kuala Lumpur to Kampar on the ETS.
"The ETS I boarded left KL Sentral at 9.20 am and arrived at 11.16 am at the Kampar station, three minutes earlier than expected," Dr Wee said in an Instagram post on Sunday (Aug 9).
"The journey, which took almost two hours, was very comfortable and we arrived at the destination on time," he added.

"The Transport Ministry and KTMB are determined to continue expanding the ETS services to the southern region of the peninsular in addition to improving the quality of its services for the benefit of the people and the country," he said.
The ETS route is currently available in Kuala Lumpur and the northern region of the peninsula, including Perak, Penang, Perlis and Kedah.
