PETALING JAYA: Three suspected drug pushers were detained, following several raids conducted here and Subang Jaya districts.

The first suspect was arrested when police stopped his vehicle at NPE near Sunway Mentari at about 3.15pm on Friday (Aug 7).

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the 21-year-old suspect had reversed his vehicle into a police mobile patrol vehicle (MPV), in an attempt to escape but police personnel managed to shoot the suspect vehicle's tyres.

"We seized 20 packets believed to contain 26g of heroin.

"The suspect also has various criminal records, including three for drug-related offences," he said when contacted on Saturday (Aug 8).

The suspect is believed to have been supplying heroin in Petaling Jaya for about a year, he added.

"He also admitted that he was getting supply from a man in Subang Jaya.

"That information led police to a house in Subang Jaya where we managed to detain a 26-year-old man at about 5pm the same day.

"We seized an array of drugs from the suspect's home including 117g of ganja, 139g of heroin, 140g of syabu and 302g of ecstasy. The drugs are worth around RM48,480," ACP Nik Ezanee said.

The second suspect led the police to the third suspect in Subang Jaya as well, he added.

"We arrested the 29-year-old suspect. All three suspects have been remanded for seven days," he said.
