Owner fined RM2,000 for dog attack


MELAKA: A fisherman was slapped with the maximum RM2,000 fine for an offence involving his pet dog, which attacked and injured an Indonesian woman.Magistrate Mohamad Izwan Mohamed Noh imposed the fine on Liew Sea Hai, 43, after the latter pleaded guilty to the charge in a Magistrate’s Court in Ayer Keroh yesterday.

The charge stated that Liew was careless in keeping his front gate open, which led to his pet dog attacking Purba Evita Kristina, 23, in Jalan Marikh 8, Taman Tanjung Minyak Perdana, at 9.30pm on July 27.
