Heavy fines for possession of turtle eggs a warning, says S'wak wildlife controller

Turtle eggs are protected by Sarawak Forestry Corporation laws.

MIRI: The total fines of RM10,000 imposed by the Kuching Sessions Court on two women for being in possession of and selling turtle eggs should serve as a warning and deterrent, says Sarawak wildlife controller Zolkipli Mohamad Aton.

The two could have been fined a maximum of RM25,000 each and jailed up to two years each, he added.
