Covid-19: 186 arrested for breaching recovery MCO on July 30, 142 fined, says Ismail Sabri

PETALING JAYA: Police arrested 186 people for breaching the recovery movement control order (MCO) on Thursday (July 30), says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said of that number, 41 were remanded, three released on bail and 142 fined.

He also said police conducted 1,942 checks on individuals undergoing mandatory home quarantine.

Police also checked 41,748 vehicles at 59 roadblocks under Ops Benteng to thwart entry of illegal immigrants.

Ismail Sabri said between July 24 and 30, some 2,800 people returned to the country.

From the number, 11 were sent to hospital and the rest were quarantined at 11 hotels and five centres, Bernama reported.
