Customs seizes illicit ciggies worth over RM20.7mil

BUTTERWORTH: The Customs Department has seized branded illicit cigarettes with more than RM20.7mil in unpaid taxes and duties at the North and West Ports in Klang.

The department’s assistant director-general (enforcement) Datuk Johari Alifiah said his men seized a total of 3,082 cartons of illicit cigarettes worth RM2.48mil from both ports on July 24.
