SHAH ALAM: The swearing-in of new Selangor exco members will likely take place after Hari Raya Haji, says Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari (pic).
He said the names had been submitted and that the state government was waiting for an announcement from the Palace.
"The Palace has protocols which must be respected and it would be premature for me to announce the matter now," he said during a press briefing on Wednesday (July 29) at Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Shah Alam.
On March 5, Selat Klang assemblyman Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari was removed from the exco line-up following the political shake-up at the federal level.
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia politician held the Culture and Tourism and Malay Heritage portfolio.
Meanwhile on July 10, Amiruddin announced that Lembah Jaya assemblyman Haniza Talha had been dropped from the Housing and Urban Living exco position.
He had said he would hold the portfolio temporarily until a replacement was named.
"For now, the exco meeting can still take place and no administrative affair is affected," he said.
