LANGKAWI: Up to 24 undocumented immigrants believed to be ethnic Rohingya are feared to have drowned at the west coast of the Langkawi island on Saturday (July 25) night.
Kedah and Perlis Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) director First Admiral Mohd Zawawi Abdullah said the Langkawi Maritime Rescue Sub-Coordinator (MRSC) has deployed their vessel Pelindung 2 to the scene after receiving reports about the incident from police at around 10.30pm.
