Validity of Parliamentary proceedings should not be questioned in court, says Azalina

PETALING JAYA: The validity of proceedings either in Parliament or any of its committees should not be questioned in court, as stipulated under Article 63(1) of the Federal Constitution, says Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

The Deputy Speaker pointed out the case involving former Perak state assembly speaker V. Sivakumar and Datuk R. Ganesan, where the High Court had ruled that it was beyond its jurisdiction to decide on the validity of the appointment.
