Housewife faces a year’s jail for insulting royals


SHAH ALAM: A housewife has pleaded guilty to insulting the Selangor Royal Family.Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib said the accused, part-time online trader Siti Nurul Ain Mat Nayan, 32, made the plea after the charge was read out in the presence of Judge Rihaida Rafie at a Sessions Court here yesterday.

“According to the charge, Siti Nurul Ain allegedly knowingly used an Internet application service on her mobile phone to write insulting comments about the Selangor Royal Family and posted them on her Facebook account with the intention of annoying others.
