Johor hopes S'pore border reopening will include daily commuters to island republic

JOHOR BARU: The Johor state government hopes that the reopening of the border between Malaysia and Singapore will be extended to those who commute to the island republic on a daily basis as soon as possible.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad said Tuesday (July 21) that the reopening of the border was important for the state, especially with the increase in unemployment rate and slow economic growth here due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
