Fuel prices July 18-24: No changes

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will remain unchanged for the July 18-24 week.

The Finance Ministry said in a statement on Friday (July 17) that the price of RON97 would stay at RM2.02 per litre.

The price of RON95 will also remain unchanged at RM1.72 per litre, as will diesel at RM1.87 per litre.

"The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price change and take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people," the statement said.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5 last year under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).

Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
