Council takes action against errant Rifle Range flat owners

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Island City Council (MBPP) has issued notices to owners of 16 abandoned units at the Rifle Range Flats in Ayer Itam for allowing their units to be filled with bird nests, plant life, unwanted furniture and other fittings.

These notices under the Local Government Act 1976 and Drainage Roads and Building Act 1974 were issued in response to the recent article in The Star on the biohazards faced by the residents there due to the pigeon infestation issue.
