KUALA TERENGGANU: The Petronas Foundation has contributed 4,900 litres of sanitising liquid and 95 sanitiser dispensers to selected schools in Terengganu since early this month in preparation for their reopening.
Petronas East Coast general manager Che Ahmad Tarmizi A Rahman said the contribution to 19 primary and secondary schools
in Kemaman, Kuala Nerus and Dungun was part of the company’s efforts to empower the local communities in the areas it operated.
“Petronas is committed to efforts carried out by the Health Ministry towards containing the spread of Covid-19.
“As such, Petronas supports good hygiene practices among students, teachers and school staff as well as members of the public, ” he said in a statement yesterday.
The hand sanitiser and dispensers were also part of the foundation’s total contribution worth RM20mil.
The contribution included medical equipment and necessities to help hospitals and frontliners in curbing Covid-19, Che Ahmad Tarmizi said. — Bernama
