PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (Maqis) was found to be less than effective in its management of agricultural import activities.
According to the 2018 Auditor-General’s Report Series 3, screening tests were not done regularly and delayed lab reports made it difficult for Maqis to ensure that the imported consignments were safe and of good quality.
