SHAH ALAM: A total of 90 domestic violence cases were reported to the Selangor Welfare Department throughout the initial months of the movement control order (MCO) in the state, said Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.Ten – the highest number of cases – were recorded in the Kota Anggerik constituency, followed by seven cases in the Bukit Gasing constituency, said Dr Siti Mariah, who is Selangor health, welfare, women empowerment and family committee chairman.
She was responding to a question by Bukit Lanjan assemblywoman Elizabeth Wong regarding the matter at the state legislative assembly sitting yesterday.
