Fuel prices July 11-17: RON97, RON95 up seven sen; diesel up three sen

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will go up across the board from July 11 to 17.

The Finance Ministry said that the price of RON97 will be priced at RM2.02 per litre, up seven sen from RM1.95 per litre previously.

The price of RON95 will increase by seven sen from RM1.65 per litre to RM1.72 per litre.

The price of diesel, meanwhile, will increase by three sen from RM1.84 per litre to RM1.87 per litre.

"The increase in the retail price of petroleum products is due to changes in refined product prices, in line with current crude oil prices.

"The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price change and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the people," it said in a statement on Friday (July 10).

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5 last year under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).

Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
