BUTTERWORTH: A 57-year-old single mother fell prey to a love scam syndicate and lost RM40,450 of her savings after meeting an individual through social media who claimed to be from London.
Seberang Prai Utara OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the victim was convinced by the man she met via Facebook to open a bank account supposedly for his business dealings in the country.
